community groups

Community Groups at DC are Jesus-centered, conversation driven, community focused times of fun, fellowship and teaching that help us grow to know each other and God better.
Class sessions are 6 weeks long, followed by a fun night gathering.

We meet from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

(The lobby opens at 5:30 p.m. for coffee and space for you to bring your dinner and eat with others.)

  • Nurseries: Ages birth to 4 years
  • DC Surge: Kindergarten through 5th grade
  • The Point: Youth, grades 6 - 12
  • Adults: Various teachings with group discussion revolving around discipleship and other rotating areas of focus like: marriage, parenting, prayer, finances, etc.

Community Groups are on a 6 week cycle that offers new options every few months. If you missed a session or the beginning of a cycle, we would love to have you. Most groups benefit from attending consecutively, but it's not mandatory.

DC Fun Nights are a time where we all meet to share dinner and our lives together. During the summer we have DC Summer Fun Nights.

Our current session

Jesus Among Secular Gods

As belief in the secular gods of atheism, hedonism, relativism, and humanism continues to grow, it’s more important than ever for believers to be able to defend the claims of Christ. This six-session Bible study challenges the popular and trending philosophies of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for absolute truth as found in Jesus and revealed in Scripture. Learn how to share your faith in a culture of opposing worldviews and articulate why you believe Jesus stands tall above all other gods.

Fun nights

During the school year, DC Fun Nights are a time where we gather to celebrate the end of a 6 week community group session and share dinner and our lives together. These are usually based on a theme, have some fun built into them and also serve to introduce the next batch of small group studies we have on the way.

When summer arrives, families head out on vacation and things get busy. We adjust to this season by taking a break from regular Wednesday night activities to offer a series of Wednesday events throughout the summer designed to promote fellowship among our community.

These include things like: cookouts, local service projects, skate nights, Christmas in July, group games, and other things designed to include the entire family.

The current calendar of Wednesday activities can be accessed by checking our EVENTS page or calling the office.
